As the Responsible Investing Literacy Coordinator, and a certified responsible investment specialist Rowan directs the LeRoy Wealth Management Group’s communications plan. Rowan curates environmental, social, and governance and impact Responsible Investing learning material for the team and their clients.

Rowan is soon to be a graduate of International Development Studies at the University of Guelph where she specializes in Political Economy and Administrative Change. She has also studied peace and conflict at Makerere University in Uganda. Her research focuses on cases of modern-day slavery around the globe. Additionally, she serves as a student peer helper on the University of Guelph’s multi-faith resource team where she helps foster inter-faith learning on campus. She is passionate about impact investing to drive sustainable change and about investing based on personal values hand in hand with financial objectives.

Her passion for sustainable development and social justice has led her on 10 trips to Senegal with her family where she volunteers with Maison de la Gare in various capacities but primarily with strategic communication planning. Additionally, when there is not a global pandemic going on Rowan can be found volunteering as a spark leader with girl guide's of Canada in Guelph.

 

In her free time Rowan reads and writes poetry, research articles, and blogs for publications such as WordCity Monthly, The Anglican Journal, Global Giving, and MDGSL.COM.

 

Rowan is on sabbatical and will return in September 2021.
