Responsible Investing Literacy Coordinator

As an administrative assistant and aspiring financial planner, as well as certified responsible investment specialist Rowan directs the LeRoy Wealth Management Group’s communications plan. She curates environmental, social, and governance and impact Responsible Investing learning material for the team and their clients.

Rowan is a student of Seneca College’s graduate certificate in financial planning and a recent graduate of International Development Studies in the Honours Program at the University of Guelph where she specialized in Political Economy and Administrative Change. She has also studied peace and conflict at Makerere University in Uganda. Her research has focused on cases of modern-day slavery around the globe and the real impacts of socially responsible investing in Ecuador. She is passionate about impact investing to drive sustainable change and about investing based on personal values hand in hand with financial objectives.

Her passion for sustainable development and social justice has led her on 12 trips to Senegal with her family where she volunteers with Maison de la Gare in various capacities but primarily with strategic communication planning.

In her free time Rowan reads and writes poetry, articles, and blogs. And can be found making maple syrup on winter weekends and canoeing the lakes of Algonquin Park in the summer.
